Potato salad scrap

The other day, I was doing a lovely scrap about the potato salad that we had at Marsha’s picnic. (Normally I would have scrapped about something more exciting, but there’s not much you can do when the potato salad is the only thing worth a scrap).
I’m really concerned that Marsha will continue to throw these horrific picnic parties (no scrapping at these picnics, by the way…..why I even bother, I have NO idea!). She sets them up in her backyard…which is all concrete. They have old pieces of rebar sticking up from the concrete that the scrubby’s use to play horseshoes. Have you ever listened to a game of horseshoes on concrete? CLANG, CLANG, CLANG, CLANG! Ugh!
And then they serve this AMAZING potato salad, among a variety of not so great, vegetarian experiments. I’m fine with vegetarian burgers, occassionally, but her vegetarian Filet Mignon tasted like a rubber doggie toy!
The afternoon always ends with Marsha reading a poem from some random author. I might not mind it so much if she did her poetry reading at the beginning, but by the end of the afternoon, after my ears are ringing from the horseshoe games, and my stomach is deciding whether or not to implode on itself, the last thing I want to do is sit quietly while she reads a 5 minute poem about the glory of a sunset.
Well, this was supposed to be all about my potato salad scrap, but obviously I had some stuff to get off my chest. I think I’m just gonna scrap my scrap and start over.
